Blues #34 | Preaching the Blues: Reverend Gary Davis Recently a Black friend of mine reminded me how much in Southern culture Blues is related to religion, almost like two faces of the same matter. Nobody more than Blind Gary Davis aka Reverend Gary Davis impersonates so good such a dichotomy. Reverend Gary Davis has been a great Piedmont style guitar picker and teacher and became almost a legend in his own time. Hopefully you'll enjoy him as much as I do.
